Excel Health Announces Availability of Q1 2018 Post-Acute Care Utilization and Performance Data

AUGUST 28, 2018

ATLANTA, GA – Excel Health, the leading source for current and complete post-acute outcomes data and performance analytics for the healthcare industry, is once again equipping providers of all sizes with detailed and timely data to help them identify referral patterns and analyze information on their market share. This most recent data encompasses post-acute care activity that occurred through the first quarter of 2018.

Compared with the same period in 2017, the number of hospice patient admissions increased 3.9 percent, while the admission number for home health patients grew by 1.8 percent. In addition, the total number of Medicare beneficiaries rose 2.1 percent.

By offering post-acute care providers insight into 100 percent of inpatient and outpatient claims data, Excel Health enables its customers to not only improve referral relationships but also position themselves in the best possible light versus their competition. Unlike other market intelligence providers who deliver solely Medicare Part A institutional data, which represents only one-fourth of post-acute claims, Excel Health delivers 100 percent of all Medicare Part A and B data, including outpatient and physician services, preventative care, labs, mental and home health services and more.

“By sharing such comprehensive and complete data with our customers, we give them immediate access to the latest industry trends and create a competitive advantage for them,” explained Ian Juliano, CEO of Excel Health. “Agencies who don’t have access to these insights must wait anywhere from another one to four quarters to obtain the information necessary for them to gain traction in a very competitive industry.”

Excel Health also is the only provider to deliver utilization data, refreshed quarterly with only about one quarter lag, giving its customers first-mover opportunities to identify physician-facility affiliations and dramatically enhancing visit productivity. With newly developed tools, customers can more strategically generate pre-call planning guides with full visibility into specific referral source data and automate referral targeting and sales call planning workflows. The combination of these tools allows customers to enjoy an immediate return on investment.
