About Mike Cwalinski
Mike Cwalinski serves as General Manager, Health Systems at Trella Health, where he leads the Repisodic platform, including Trella Discharge for health systems and Trella Referral Management for post-acute providers. In his role, Mike is focused on expanding Trella’s impact across hospitals, health systems, post-acute organizations, and the patients they serve.
Mike began his career as a Software Engineer in Lockheed Martin’s FAA business, working on air traffic control system failover. He later earned his MBA full time from the Tuck School of Business and worked at senior executive levels across two large corporations, Lockheed Martin and Siemens Healthcare, early in his career. After completing his MBA, Mike pivoted into healthcare through a highly selective General Management program at Siemens Healthcare, where he worked closely with large health systems during a period of major industry change.
That experience sparked Mike’s interest in value-based care, bundled payment programs, and the role post-acute care plays in determining outcomes after discharge. It also helped shape the earliest ideas for Repisodic — a platform designed to help patients make better, more informed decisions during the discharge process. Following Trella’s acquisition of Repisodic in July 2025, Mike now leads the platform’s continued growth and integration into Trella’s broader product suite.
Mike is motivated by solving complex problems, and he believes healthcare delivery in the U.S. presents some of the most meaningful challenges to solve. At Trella, his mission is to bring the company’s platform to as many health systems, post-acute providers, and patients as possible — helping improve care transitions, strengthen provider collaboration, and support better decisions at critical moments in the patient journey.
Mike is also excited about the role AI can play in solving healthcare problems that were previously difficult or impossible to address at scale. He uses AI internally to support a range of work, including financial models, presentation development, product requirements, and technical problem-solving. He is also exploring AI agents to detect updates to Medicare post-acute quality data and sees future potential in use cases such as automated post-acute referral acceptances and prior authorization submissions.
Mike holds a Master’s in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business.
Outside of work, Mike and his wife stay busy with their twin daughters, who are entering first grade. Their family loves to travel — with Italy standing out as a favorite destination so far — and enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, boating, and exploring nature. A lifelong learner, Mike is also drawn to hands-on projects, from new technologies to home renovations.
