Chief Financial Officer
“When we align financial strategy with mission-driven execution, we create the foundation for scalable, sustainable growth — and ultimately, greater impact across the healthcare ecosystem.”

About Nicholas Meeks

Nick Meeks serves as Chief Financial Officer at Trella Health, where he leads the company’s financial strategy and helps guide long-term growth, operational discipline, and sustainability. He brings 18 years of finance leadership experience, including 12 years in healthcare, with a career spanning investment banking, consulting, healthcare IT, government technology, and high-growth software organizations.

Nick began his career in boutique investment banking and consulting before entering healthcare through Chamberlin Edmonds, an eligibility-services business where he developed a strong foundation in both healthcare and finance. He later served as CFO of Streamline Health, a NASDAQ-traded healthcare IT company focused on mid-revenue cycle solutions for health systems. After time outside of healthcare as CFO of Juvare, a government technology company focused on emergency preparedness software, Nick returned to the industry as CFO of Azalea Health, an EHR business, before joining Trella Health in September 2025.

Nick’s interest in healthcare began unexpectedly. As an undergraduate, he mistakenly registered for a class on the economics of U.S. healthcare and became fascinated by the complexity, uniqueness, and impact of the industry. That curiosity has continued to shape his career and is a key reason he was drawn to Trella Health. He sees Trella as operating at the intersection of some of the largest challenges in U.S. healthcare — from cost leakage to the experience of patients and their families.

As CFO, Nick is focused on helping Trella scale with financial clarity and strategic discipline while supporting the company’s mission to help healthcare organizations make better decisions. He believes strong financial leadership is not only about managing numbers, but also about enabling teams to invest in the right opportunities, build for long-term impact, and deliver value to customers.

Nick is also diving headlong into AI and is focused on practical ways to help himself and his team multiply their capacity while eliminating the least satisfying parts of their work. He is exploring AI use cases across contract file maintenance, recurring email drafting, and financial model construction — using the technology to streamline manual processes, improve consistency, and free up time for more strategic work.

Nick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Emory University and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

Outside of work, Nick’s love of travel has taken him to more than 80 countries and every continent except Antarctica. That chapter is temporarily on hold while he and his wife raise two young children, but he now spends many evenings immersed in Lego cities, Magnatile towers, and the world of Bluey. Once his kids are old enough to carry their own passports, he looks forward to exploring the world with them.
